About Juliette
Juliette was a twenty-four-year-old Américaine living and studying in Paris when she had the idea for her debut novel, Sleeping with Paris. After completing her Master’s degree in French, she returned to the States to become a French professor and to write her first book. Sleeping with Paris was published in October of 2011. In February of 2012, Sleeping with Paris hit #30 on Amazon’s Top 100 Overall Kindle Bestseller’s List. That same month, Juliette published her second book, Kissed in Paris, which also became a Kindle Bestseller.
After the success of Sleeping with Paris, Juliette wrote the screenplay adaptation of the novel under the direction of a Hollywood producer and director team. Plans are in the works to bring Sleeping with Paris to film.
Juliette followed the success of her first two books by writing more enchanting novels based in the City of Light: Honeymoon in Paris, Dancing with Paris, and Midnight Train to Paris. She also released five novellas: One Night in Paris, A Paris Dream, and the Confessions of a City Girl novellas which are based Los Angeles, San Diego, and Washington, D.C. Juliette has lived in all of the cities where she has based her books, and she is known for transporting her readers to some of the loveliest corners of the world through her vivid descriptions.
In December of 2015, Juliette took a departure from fiction and released her own true story of love and heartbreak in the City of Light in her bestselling memoir, Meet Me in Paris. She continued to bare it all in her companion poetry collection, I Loved You in Paris.
Under her real name of Danielle Porter, she is the author of a dark and steamy Paris thriller titled, All the Beautiful Bodies, which she released in 2019. She is currently writing the pilot episode for the television series adaptation of All the Beautiful Bodies, while also writing its much-anticipated sequel, Her Lovely Lies.
Juliette’s books have swept hundreds of thousands of readers away to Paris, hitting the Top 100 Bestseller Lists on Amazon US, UK, France, and Germany, becoming bestsellers in Italy and Turkey as well. In addition to her writing, Juliette is a French professor and writing coach, and she holds a B.A. in French from Georgetown University and an M.A. in French from New York University in Paris.
Juliette has lived all over the US and in France, so she is hesitant to commit to a location in this bio, knowing it will likely change. She is currently at work on her next (several) novels, while being a cat mom to her adorable felines, Violet and Oliver. She loves to hear from her readers, so feel free to say bonjour anytime!
